after the shock
by Kevin O’Neill

after enlightenment enters the scene
i don’t leave the citadel anymore
lullaby bait

relics of

the past go for fig
leaves instead of support structures

my body is alone among

the shells

turn my face
the body of the poem
delay is gone the time

is at its end

acceleration with the undertone
repetitive effect
certitude’s cap never outgrow these feelings

the turning

how the
crisis grows the sun burns holy
that the lord’ll project our expansion

cynical deal approximate ceiling
passive extension beyond origin
